Our Story

After three years in the food service industry, Bill Dillon decided in the fall of 1982 to open his own restaurant in the resort area of Virginia Beach, Abbey Road Pub & Restaurant. For over 20 years he dreamed of opening a roof top bar, so in the spring of 2022 he began the journey. It took three more years for Bill’s dream to become a reality: Lucy’s Sky Bar, which opened in May of 2025.

And what better name would be more fitting to accompany his Beatle themed restaurant, Abbey Road, than Lucy’s Sky Bar (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds!)? With 152 seats inside and out, and six garage doors that open to the outside deck, Lucy’s has ocean views and great sunsets!
